Privacy Policy
Zovan ("we", "us") is an online marketplace where people buy and sell used cars, bikes, mobiles and laptops. This policy explains what information we collect, why, and how you can control it.
1. Information we collect
- Google Sign-In: when you choose "Continue with Google", Google shares your name, email address, profile picture and a unique Google account ID with us. We do not get your Google password.
- Account details you give us: name, mobile number, city, and (if you use email login) your email and password. Passwords are stored encrypted.
- Ads you post: title, description, price, photos, location/area and contact number.
- Messages: chats between buyers and sellers on Zovan.
- Basic technical data: your browser keeps a login token on your device so you stay signed in.
2. How we use it
- To create and secure your account and let you log in.
- To show your ads and let buyers contact you (your name, city and the phone number on your ad are visible to other users).
- To deliver chat messages and notifications.
- To prevent spam, fraud and misuse, and to review reported ads or users. For safety, our team may review chat messages when investigating a report or suspected fraud.
3. What we do not do
- We do not sell your personal information.
- We do not use your Google data for advertising.
- We only use Google data for sign-in and your Zovan profile.
4. Sharing
Your information is shared only: with other users as part of ads and chats you create; with service providers who help us run the website (for example, web hosting); or when required by Indian law.
5. Data storage & security
Your data is stored on our hosting server. We use HTTPS encryption, encrypted passwords and access controls. No system is 100% secure, so please do not share sensitive information such as bank details in chats.
6. Your choices
- You can edit your profile and delete your ads anytime from your profile page.
- You can delete your account and all its data anytime from My Account → Delete Account. You can also email support@zovan.in from your registered email.
- You can remove Zovan's access to your Google account at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
7. Children
Zovan is not meant for anyone under 18 years of age.
8. Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version.
